Vijay’s film Waris is all set to release on January 11 for Sankranti. Vaarisu and its Telugu version Varasudu were to be released on the same day. But due to some technical issues, the release of the Telugu version has been postponed till January 14.
But now another problem has arisen in front of the makers of the film. The advance booking of the film is not picking up as expected.
Vijay is one such actor who has a huge fan following not only in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka but also abroad. And all his recent movies have received good response. But reports suggest that Varys is getting a lukewarm response from the audience.
The advance booking of Waris is going on at a very slow pace. This is proving to be one of the worst bookings for Vijay in recent times. There was good buzz before the trailer but after the trailer the hype of the film got affected. However, the expectation is now for a Sankranthi release. Due to the festive season, bookings are expected to increase.
