Malayalam cinema is dictionary for Tamil industry: Sriram Karthik

Actor Sriram Karthik says Malayalam is the strongest industry in India, be it in terms of content or filmmaking. He said that Malayalam industry is like a dictionary for Tamil industry and he watches all Malayalam films. The actor shared these things in an interview to Doolnews as part of his new film Pathirakat.

If we take the case of India, Malayalam industry is strong, be it in terms of film production or content. We watch a lot of Malayalam movies. We mostly see Malayalam movies that release there, especially with Tamil actors and directors.

Malayalam cinema is actually seen as a dictionary by the Tamil industry. Fahadh’s Varathan is my favorite Malayalam thriller film. My two favorite actors in Malayalam are Lalithan and Fahadh,’ said Sriram Karthik.

The actor also shared his experience of acting in Kochi with Jayaram in Kotambakkam. ‘When he acts, you feel like watching. He has told me many things. Their experiences have been shared a lot,’ said Karthik.

Pathirkat will hit the theaters on February 10. The film is being directed by Najeeb Madavoor under the banner of Sana Nia Production House. The story and screenplay of Pathirakat is also done by Najeeb Madavoor. Avni and Sharon are the newcomers

The cinematography is done by Shahusha and the music is composed by Regimon. Pashanam Shaji, Nirmal Palazzi, Santosh Keertoor and Sinoj are playing other characters.
