It is no coincidence that most of Lijo Jose Pellissery’s films are accused of plagiarism: Director Prathap reacts to plagiarism allegations

Director Prathap Joseph has supported director Halita Shamim in plagiarism charges against Nanpakal Nerath Mayakkum, directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery.

That said, it is no coincidence that most of Lijo José Pellissery’s films have such allegations of plagiarism.

Same location, same cameraman, same scene. The director is not accused of stealing her story, but of stealing her beauty. Of course there is a difference in the plot and treatment of both the films.

Ale is mostly used in Nankal. Even the posters of both the films have been compared. The director says that this is not a coincidence.

Pratap Joseph’s response was via social media. How to note-

The 2021 Tamil film Elle, directed by Halitha Shamim, deals with the subject of impersonation, while Nanakkal Neeret Mayakkum Alumral. Same location, same cameraman, same scene. The director is not accused of stealing her story, but of stealing her beauty. Of course there is a difference in the plot and treatment of both the films.

Ale is mostly used in Nankal. Even the posters of both the films have been compared. This is definitely no coincidence. Almost all of Lijo’s films have been accused of plagiarism in whole or in part. So this post has to be posted’, said Pratap Joseph.

Last day, Halita Shamim alleged that Lijo Jose Pellissery stole the entire beauty of her film ‘Ale’ with the film Nanpakkal Neerth Mayakkum.

The director said that he was happy when he learned that both the films were shot at the same location, but he would not remain silent if the film’s ideas and aesthetics were mercilessly chopped off.
