I had arrogance, Rani Padmini’s failure ended: Shyam Pushkaran

Screenwriter Shyama Pushkaran said she was proud that she understood everything about the film and that changed with the failure of Rani Padmini. In the press meet of the film Thangam, Shyam Pushkaran said that it is better to learn from broken pictures.

‘Every time I take up a film, I make up my mind to work hard. At that time I felt proud that I understood the whole film. It almost ended with the defeat of Rani Padmini. For a filmmaker, broken images are the best thing to learn from. Shyam Pushkaran said, Rani Padmini is the most important film of my career.

Directed by Aashiq Abu and starring Manju Warrier and Reema Kalingal in lead roles, Rani Padmini was written by Shyam Pushkaran.

Shyam said in the press meet that there would be a film with Mohanlal and Shah Rukh Khan. ‘Mohanlal film will happen very soon. It has not been decided whether it is a mass film or not. Anyway it will work. If you want to make a film with a big star like Shah Rukh Khan, you have to set aside two or three years for it. He should be seen again after the script is over. He loves South Indian films,’ said Shyam.

Produced by Shyam Pushkaran, Dilish Pothan and Fahadh Faasil under the banner of Bhavana Studios, Thangam will release on January 26. The film stars Vineeth Sreenivasan, Biju Menon, Aparna Balamurali and Girish Kulkarni in lead roles. Also many Marathi, Hindi and Tamil actors are in lead roles.

Thangam, a crime drama, tells the story of the lives of Muth and Kannan, two gold agents in Thrissur.
